About me
I’m Alexandrina Birsan, a photographer and visual storyteller with a passion for cinematic imagery. Originally from Moldova, I’ve called Switzerland home for the past four years. I’ve been taking photos for as long as I can remember, but in 2018, I fully dedicated myself to photography. In 2024, I took a leap of faith and made it my profession.

Photography isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am. I’m happiest behind the camera, taking photos that make others feel seen and celebrated. My work is all about putting people in their best light and giving it a cinematic touch, I believe real life can look just as breathtaking as the movies. (I am a huge cinephile!)

Color and composition are at the heart of my work. I use them to enhance both the subject and their environment, ensuring they complement each other well. I love planning ahead, creating detailed storyboards and moodboards to bring each vision to life. Whether collaborating with small creators and brands or covering events, my goal is always to tell a story in a creative and compelling way.

As a queer woman, I prioritise working with women and underrepresented voices, ensuring my work is as inclusive as it is artistic. In addition to photography, I create short-form video content for reels and social media, helping brands and individuals showcase their stories in the most engaging way possible.
